Product Enhancements
- Command AntiVirus supports Microsoft Windows Server 2004.
- Scan engine enhancements have been added:
- Improved polymorphic detection. (A "polymorphic virus" changes form with each file it infects. Since it has no consistent signature, it is hard to identify)
- Command AntiVirus for Windows successfully handles script viruses, for example, JS/Fortnight, that have encrypted components requiring deletion of the file as part of the disinfection process.
- Command AntiVirus updates from multiple Software Distribution Points (SDP) for enterprise redundancy.
- CSAV 4.90.0 automatically installs any additional prerequisite files that you may need. (Excluding MS IE 5.0)
- CSAV Enterprise contains a WMI provider that works with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI). WMI is a standard service that allows management applications to monitor and manage systems. Management systems that support WMI include: Authentium Galileo COMMANDCentral, HP Openview, Tivoli and NetIQ.
- When partnered with the Galileo COMMANDCentral Console, enterprise administrators can:
- Run a Protection Report to determine which computers on the network have Command AntiVirus installed.
- Run an Infection Report to determine which computers on the network have a virus infection.
- Perform a virus scan on a selected computer.
- Push installations of CSAV to Windows computers on the network.
